Corgi 448
Corgi 448 B.M.C. Mini Police Van with Tracker Dog. Scarce version in blue-black with a simpler card plinth. Near mint plus/boxed. From The Nelson Collection.
Notes
This popular Corgi model was issued between 1964-69. The Austin Police Mini Van has a very deep blue-black finish with a red detailed interior and unmarked ‘POLICE’ lettering on both sides.
Suspension on shaped spun wheels, intact aerial, jewelled headlights. Occasional small mark only to the paint finish but note that the front rivet is not so securely holding the front section of the model now.
Also included are the original figures of the police dog handler and tracker dog complete with his lead (often missing!). All may be safely slotted in to the ‘simpler’ card plinth (version without pictorial backdrop scene). Just one small slot tear and a light stain.
The outer box is complete, bright and intact. Crisp. Very minor wear and a light crease.
