Corgi Gift Set 1B

Notes

Issued between 1959-62, this scarce set comprises:

1) 1101 Bedford ‘S’ Carrimore Car Transporter, red cab, with mid-blue & very pale blue back, with flat spun wheels, in very near mint, original condition. Few little marks mostly at the ramp. Complete lettering at the sides. Complete Corgi Dog logo at the rear.

2) 217 Fiat 1800, in two-tone blue, with flat spun wheels. Near mint plus. Few small marks Fresh clean and bright box has a little crumple.

3) 226 Morris Mini Minor in light powder blue with red interior, flat spun wheels. Near mint. Chip to the driver’s door. Corgi period accessory number plates applied. Bright box has minor grubbiness/age wear.

4) 219 Plymouth Sports Suburban Station Wagon in deep cream and tan, red interior, flat spun wheels. Very near mint/boxed. Strongly-coloured, clean, fresh box has a minor crumple at an end flap.

5) 305 Triumph TR3 Sports in olive green with red seats and flat spun wheels. Very near mint condition. Corgi period accessory tax disc and number plates applied. Very fresh box.

Note that these models are obviously the originals from this set (i.e. not a later made-up set)..
The colourfully illustrated lift-off lid box is bright and complete with some rubbing/light handling wear.

Note that one corner has a carefully repaired split. Base has a small seam split.

Includes the original white card insert which houses the individual items and also includes 2 bright, clean and fresh ‘Dummy Boxes’ with the Corgi Dog decoration. Usual marking caused by contact with the models.
