Notes
A difficult find, this is the first issue (1960) of this charming set and comprises:
a) M7 Cattle Truck in red and light tan with grey plastic treaded tyres. In very, very near mint condition with a pleasing lustre. Small rough casting mark on cab roof.
b) 12 Land Rover with black plastic wheels. Very near mint (minor blistered area on tow hook).
c) 23c Bluebird Dauphine Caravan in pale metallic mauve with grey plastic treaded tyres. Mint.
d) 31b American Ford Station Wagon in bright yellow with silver plastic wheels. Very, very near mint (little as-made roof edge casting irregularity).
e) 35a Horse Box in red and tan with grey plastic wheels. Very near mint ( a little rough casting on the roof, tiny blistered area on the drop down ramp).
f) 72a Fordson Tractor in blue with orange plastic rear wheels. Very near mint (minute marking on the steering wheel).
Bright yellow carded inner is complete, clean and very bright. Note the yellow packing block in the centre – the second issue of this set would contain 6 and not 5 models plus the cattle truck. A little ruffling and tiny edge tears caused by the cattle truck.
Box base is clean, bright and complete. No tears. Crisp card. Very nice!
Box sleeve is bright and clean, looking very fresh. Small part-puncture has pressed back into place. Lightest wear besides and a little penned writing in one small area on box reverse:
