Nicky 170
Nicky 170 Lincoln Continental. Bright non-metallic red with a black roof version. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A very close to mint example finished in bright red with a black roof, jewelled headlights, white interior, black steering wheel, and intact window glazing. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
Shiny black base with just ‘TOYS ’ and ’LINCOLN CONTINENTAL’ (the word DINKY obliterated).
Light roof rub and a mark or two besides.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) is clean and complete, with quite a crisp feel. A small seam tear and light edge rubs/wear besides. Stamped numbers on the box underside.
