One of the most eagerly sought-after Corgi models, especially with fully working chimes.
The Ford Thames Van has a shining blue and cream finish with striped awning and decorative trimmings, sliding windows and notably when you turn the handle the chimes play the complete tune (5 notes)! Complete ’Wall’s’ transfers on both sides. Windows are notably clear ( so often found ‘foggy’). Hard to find a mark to the paint finish but note the back section has been factory fitted slightly askew.
Nice to see that this example comes with the clean and bright colourful card stand as well as the wrap-around card packing piece. Full set of unapplied labels on a backing sheet. Instruction Leaflet/Corgi Club Membership Form*, too.
The decorative card box is clean and bright with a crisp feel. Plenty of end flap spring. Silky feel to the card. Original pencilled price has been partly erased at an end flap. Minor age wear.
A truly nostalgic piece!
