Corgi Gift Set 12 Grand Prix Racing Set. Near mint - very near mint/boxed. Scarce Gift Set from The Old School Collection
Notes
This is the first issue of the Grand Prix Set made between 1968-71.
This example comprises:
1) Corgi 155 – Lotus Climax Racing Car. Very near mint, with tiny nick to the bonnet racing number. Chrome is fine. Small chip on the nose.
2) Corgi 159 – Cooper-Maserati, with silver cast wheels. Near mint with small marks to the nose, couple of chrome rubs.
3) Corgi 330 – Porsche Carrera 6 . Near mint plus, with Racing number 1. Occasional little exposed edge mark.
4) Corgi 490 – VW Breakdown Truck and trailer. White version with ‘Racing Club’ labels (a little discoloured)and spun wheels. Near mint plus with a few minor marks. Red trailer is very near mint.
Set of three mechanics. Traffic cones. Two hay bales.
Inner polystyrene tray is clean and fresh showing light wear only.
Large cellophane-fronted box is complete with intact original cellophane and bright card. Crumpling at one corner and a couple of very small tears. A little wear/grubbiness.
