Corgi 431
Corgi 431 Volkswagen Pick-Up. Rarest variation in deep orange-yellow with olive green canopy. Late variation (probably export). Very near mint/boxed. From The Cumbrian Collection. Only the 2nd we have ever offered for sale. QDT starting bid £750. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
An exceptionally scarce, late variation (probably export), this Commer Pick-Up is finished in deep orange-yellow with textured olive-green canopy (unique to this model – and could not have been swapped from another Corgi item. Longer than the canopy on the Corgi Land Rover, for example). Silver trim and shaped spun wheels.
As pictured on both faces of the picture box.
Reference to this version made on page 155 of The Great Book of Corgi; version with red canopy pictured.
In very close to mint condition (note the addition of red rear lights and side lights now but this component of this item is standard). Hard to find a mark to the paint finish.
An exciting find.
The colourful and complete box, with this variation pictured on both sides, has very minor wear only.
