Notes
This sought-after Corgi model (1967-69) has a fine, unrubbed glossy finish and bright chrome, jewelled headlights, complete M.G.B. rear transfer (overlapped, but as factory applied), correct luggage and opening boot. Suspension is fine on all four spoked wheels. Original ‘Corgi Toys’ stamped, fine tread tyres (well-shaped).
Barely a mark to the red paint finish, although note marking to the grey base.
The pictorial box is bright, fresh, clean and complete. Crisp feel. Lightest wear. Corgi Club Membership Form.
Scarce period promotional Brochure included, promoting the ‘Win A Car For Dad Contest’ held by Corgi during 1968.
Paddy Hopkirk presented the lucky winner the prize of a MBGGT and a bicycle!
Still flushed from the 1966 World Cup, the third prize was a Wembley ‘England World Champions’ football!
