Corgi 303S
Corgi 303S Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster. Very near mint/boxed. Cream with a red bonnet stripe. A rare find with Racing Number 11. Card packing ring. From a single-owner from new collection.
Notes
The owner tells us:
“Most of my collection was created in the sixties and beginning of the 70’s.
All models have been in my possession since they were bought.
They were bought from shops during my travels all over Europe: Great Britain, Germany,
France, Italy, Sweden and Denmark”.
Issued between 1961-63, this is a sought-after Mercedes model.
In cream with a yellow interior, suspension on bright shaped spun wheels. Bonnet stripe and an especially rare find with racing number ‘11’, original driver smartly dressed in a grey suit, white shirt and red bow tie! Intact, clear original windscreen and none of the usual chipping to the silver bumpers front and rear. Shiny baseplate. Nice example!
Couple of little chips to the tonneau ( one of which has been giving a dab of factory paint). Note the small split in the steering wheel (probably caused during factory assembly – the driver is difficult to fit behind the wheel).
The box is crisp and bright, complete with all end flaps intact. Looking fresh – one set of end flaps does not feel as if they have ever been opened! Small tea/coffee stain to the other end flap. Period price pencilled nearby. Very minor wear only. Corgi Club Membership Form. Card packing ring:
