Notes

A scarce and popular Corgi Gift Set_.
The set comprises:

1) Corgi 318 Mini Cooper ‘S’ in bright red finish with a white roof, jewelled head and spotlights, complete racing number ‘52’ on one side (couple of very small nicks to the other transfer). Complete Monte Carlo labels on the bonnet. The boot transfer has a corner edge nick. Shaped spun wheels with suspension. Near mint with a few small marks to the paint finish.

2) Corgi 322 Rover 2000 in lustrous metallic maroon finish with a white roof, notably complete Monte Carlo label on the boot, small nick to the bonnet label. Complete racing number ‘136’ on one door, too. Shaped spun wheels with suspension, jewelled headlights and “Trans-O-Lite” lights. Near mint with a chip to a rear light and the occasional little mark besides.

3) Corgi 323 Citroen DS19 in pale blue finish with a white roof. Shaped spun wheels with suspension, jewelled lights, intact aerial on the roof. Complete racing number ‘75’ on one side, small nick to the other. Intact rally label on the bonnet, tiniest nick to the boot label. Near mint plus.

The colourfully-illustrated detailed card plinth on which each car sits is complete with both pull tags (one re-attached) at the sides and the original card packing support piece in the base of the plinth. One wheel slot tear. Note the scattered surface loss mostly confined to the portion of the plinth where the cars are placed.

This set comes with the plain rectangular card piece which fits in the base of the plinth.

The pictorial all-card outer box is complete and bright. Some age/handling wear and some flecks of surface loss at an end flap. No graffiti. Period price label.
