Corgi 267
Corgi 267 Batmobile. Scarce 1st issue - Matt black version. Near mint/boxed. Very nice box! With full Secret Instruction Packet & card packing ring. A sought-after, iconic model. From The Heart of England Collection.
Notes
This 1st issue example is in close to mint condition. Unmistakeable silky matt paint finish (few of these have survived, most were gloss finish).
Suspension is present on all four wheels. Vivid blue screens, both seated figures of Batman and Robin, bright chrome to launching tubes and cockpit (few little flecks of loss however), vivid Bathubs and Bat logos on both sides. Note that one of the wheels is factory unfinished – the gold colour has never been applied so the background to one of the bat logos on one wheel is bare metal. Intact aerial.
A few little edge chips to the paint finish. Close inspection finds a little stroke of additional paint on a wheel arch and the nearby raised body line.
Card inner is very bright and clean with vivid day-one bright artwork. Crisp feel to the card. Couple of little wheel arch tears.
Card is crisp and displays extremely well. Just a couple of near-inevitable wheel slot tears (very small). Original card packing piece which fits inside the base of the plinth is present too. Note that each of the push-put tabs for the slots have been kept (see below).
The Secret Instruction Packet has been opened. It contains all the original accessories: Instructions, 10 original fluorescent red rockets and badge.
The colourfully illustrated outer box is vivid, clean and bright. Crisp and fresh-looking. Hard to find this good. Very minor wear and a subtle repair to a very small end flap tear.
Card ring included, too.
A scarce and all-original Corgi iconic item to add to your collection.
