Dinky 261
Dinky 261 Ford Taunus 'POLIZEI'. Rare German promotional issue. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce model from The Brighton Collection.
Notes
This Taunus model was made for export to the German market only between 1967-68.
This very close to mint example has a white and deepest green finish with complete ‘POLIZEI’ labels on both doors and boot. Light blue roof light. Bright original aerial. Shiny wheels with white surround. Brightest unrubbed chrome at bumpers and fresh, clean and complete number plates, front and rear.
Obviously barely handled. Fixed to a pristine plastic and card ‘Roadway’ base.
Perspex top has the black Dinky Toys label which gives information about the real car (interestingly the Ford Taunus achieves a maximum speed of 84 m.p.h.). Largely unmarked (so often these perspex tops are found heavily scratched or split).
