Nicky (Dinky) 195
Nicky/Dinky Toys 195 Jaguar 3.4 Litre. Bright red version. Very, very near mint/boxed. A rare early issue in this rare box. From The Lewes Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A first for QDT! A sensational 3.4 LT Jaguar model finished in bright red with original silver details, steering wheel. Silver wheels with original, well-shaped treaded black tyres.
Very fine example in virtually mint-mint condition!
A stray dab of factory silver on a front wing.
Note the early baseplate with Jaguar 3.4 LItre and DINKY TOYS still visible.
Rare box presentation – this plain, end flap box has correct and original ‘Nicky Toys’ labels on one side and at an end flap. Note too the ‘ATAMCO PRIVATE LTD. CALCUTTA ’ print on a cream label. Product number ’195’ is inked at an end flap.
An extremely unusual early box presentation that has minor wear only.
