Corgi Gift Set 3 "Thunderbird" Guided Missile on Assembly Trolley & R.A.F. Land Rover. Very, very near mint/boxed, with ALL packing. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
A scarce set – and the first we have seen with all packing. Issued between 1959-63 (dated by the owner as purchased 24th Dec. 1957 von Papi), it comprises:
i) 350 Thunderbird Missile in silver with a red nose cone, on Trailer (RAF Blue finish with black plastic swivelling wheels, black plastic tow ring and metal clips to hold the missile in place). Virtually mint.
ii) 351 Land Rover in RAF Blue finish with a tin tilt, flat spun wheels (shiny), tow hook, well-shaped original tyres and spare on the bonnet. Outstanding lustre. Shiny base. Virtually mint.
Slim outer box is complete and brightly-coloured. Note there are printed instructions on all small end flaps. Small storage puncture has pressed back into place. Light wear. Penned date by the owner. Comes complete with all packing pieces i.e. two small pieces which secure the models, a long tube which protects the missile and a packing sleeve!
