Notes
A colourful Chipperfields item first issued in 1968.
It contains a Scammell truck with three plastic cages containing two lions, two tigers and two bears. This example has a bright red and blue paint finish, jewelled headlights and Chipperfields label at cab front. Highly detailed decorative labels on both sides are very near mint – mint.
The plastic cages are complete and intact with all animals enclosed inside (no plastic bubbles surrounding them). Original Corgi sticky pads used to keep them in place. Nice to see this example still has the black elastic bands which fasten the cages to the trailer (often missing!).
Occasional tiny mark only.
Bright and clean polystyrene inner.
The large window box is bright and complete with intact original cellophane.
Some age/handling wear to the card (a few little stress tears). With Retailer Card.
