Corgi 1137
Corgi 1137 Ford Tilt Cab 'H' with Detachable Trailer "Express Service". Cast wheels issue with GOLD roof horns. Very near mint/boxed. With mechanic and card packing pieces. From The Eric Morris Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1966-69, this Ford articulated truck is a delight! In very close to mint condition, this truck just gleams! Complete with both wing mirrors intact (including the little reflective ‘mirror’ pieces), straight gold-coloured horns on the cab roof, and perfect “EXPRESS SERVICE” detailing on both sides of the bright silver, untarnished sliding doors. So eye-catching and it comes complete with the original mechanic figure, too.
This cast wheel variation is more often found in the later card and cellophane box.
A few little marks to the paint finish.
The bright pictorial card plinth on which the model sits is complete and strongly-coloured. A few little wheel slot tears due to the weight of the vehicle.
The pictorial end flap box is complete and bright. Light wear includes a couple of tiny tears.
So unusual to find with both card packing pieces.
