Issued 1950-52, this is a scarce British heavyweight Foden Tipper finished in a most distinctive light mint green, lilac blue and red. Beautifully constructed, this was part of a small range of diecast constructional models made between 1948-52 by this British manufacturer. Sold with the necessary tools to take apart and rebuild as well as the key. Working clockwork function. This Foden Tipper model measures 26cms x 9cms. approx.
Decorative ‘Shackleton’ transfer has some loss. ‘Foden’ transfer is complete.
Spare wheel stowed. Occasional chip to the paint.
Especially difficult to find with its distinctive sturdy colourful card box. Correct factory colour stamp on the underside of the base.
Some of the usual wear as you might expect which includes staining to the underside, a little part-puncture, a tear and a notable crease.
