Corgi Toys 422 Bedford Van
Bedford 12cwt Van "Corgi Toys" by Corgi Toys, No. 422. Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce issue in vibrant mid-blue with yellow roof - such an eye-catching Advertising Van. From The West Midlands Collection.
Notes
Surely one of the most attractive of the early Corgi commercials, this ‘Corgi Toys’ Bedford Van has a vibrant mid-blue finish with a bright yellow roof. Complete Corgi transfers with the unmistakable dog logo on both sides. Flat spun wheels and a tinplate baseplate (some tarnishing). Original fine tread tyres are well-shaped.
Issued between 1960-62, in various blue and yellow combinations, this is one of the most difficult to find (and our personal favourite).
This Bedford Van has a pleasing lustre to the paint finish and is in close to mint condition, with a light sprinkling of little marks to the paint at the sides and a few at the rear, mostly.
The picture box is complete, showing a little age-handling wear.
