Notes
A remarkable find.
The Borders Collector recalls:
" I purchased this model about 18 years ago. The chap selling it said he had bought it at a local toy shop in the Midlands when he was a boy".
This scarce model is finished in bright red, with a cream interior, grey steering wheel. Intact number plates lettering. Shiny spun wheels and fine original tyres. Intact front bumper with shiny chrome. Rear bumper is incomplete. Grey base.
In all original condition with scattered chipping.
The period paper label on the roof is complete, with crisp red lettering. Light age grubbiness. Estimated date approx. 1963 – 1965.
Such a rare model – and perhaps one to fill a gap in your collection.
