Notes
Sought-after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This ‘E’ Type Jaguar model is finished in a distinctive light metallic green with a detachable black hood and cream soft top. Original windscreen is intact.
Couple of chips to the paint finish on one side.
An early issue since the Dinky lettering on the baseplate is still partially visible with just the letters ‘DIN’ blanked out (so ‘KY’ and ‘TOYS’ still visible), as well as the original lettering ‘Jaguar ’E’ Type from Dinky. No reference to the Indian manufacturer made on the base of this early Nicky Toys model.
The box (to Nicky toys standard) presents quite well although note there are two end flap tears.
