Issued 1948-52, this is a scarce British heavyweight Foden Platform Lorry finished in rich red, with a grey fuel tank. Beautifully constructed, this was part of a small range of diecast constructional models made between 1948-52 by this British manufacturer. Sold with the necessary tools to take apart and rebuild, this Foden model measures 32cms x 9.5cms. approx.
Complete with spare wheel stowed underneath. Note that the retaining nut is missing now.
Some chipping to the paint finish and you will find some dabs of repainting in places. Little fracture to the top of the central post of the windscreen.
Especially difficult to find with its distinctive sturdy colourful card box. just a little wear as you might expect (mostly grubbiness). No seam tears or repairs.
Some of the original tools, key and leaflet (which is simply loose pages now).
8-Ton Dyson Trailer is finished in vivid orange and red with a complete ‘Dyson’ transfer.
Close to mint condition although there are some dabs of repainting to the wheel arches.
