Corgi Toys 150 Vanwall Formula 1 Grand Prix
Corgi 150 Vanwall F1 Grand Prix. Scarce NON-SUSPENSION issue in RED with Racing Number 1, CAST CRISS-CROSS wheels. Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce version. From The Pennsylvanian Collection.
Notes
One of the last of the ‘150’ models before changing to the suspension version. Finished in vivid, glossy red with racing number 1, cast criss-cross wheels, clear screen and silver seat. 2 rivet base with cast lettering in the ‘portrait’ orientation or cast in small lettering across the base(more usually found with ‘landscape’ orientation or larger lettering along the base). Fine tyres.
Complete ‘Vanwall’ lettering.
Presents very well although note that there is a small drilled hole in the lower section of the nose (visible on the underside) and a fine clear lacquer applied over the racing number. Paint finish is generally mint and of course the application of lacquer has prevented any flaking or wear to the racing number transfer.
Blue and yellow picture box is complete and bright. Small seam tear and light wear.
