Notes
An exceptionally difficult find and it appears the first with the detachable header-card that has come to the market-place as far as we can tell.
Issued between 1969-72, this item is in virtually mint condition. Distinctive lime-gold finish, cream detailed interior, ‘Take -Off Wheels’(Golden Jacks), and swivelling jewelled headlights. Spring suspension and plated bumpers.
The cellophane-fronted window box is complete and strongly-coloured with intact, original cellophane. Note that this is the version without the mechanic pictured alongside the cellophane front. Very minor wear only (really small tear to the card inner)
The detachable header-card is an extremely rare piece – and the first we have ever offered for sale. Sent to some shopkeepers at the time who ordered large quantities and then perhaps just one with a consignment of these models. Minor creasing which is practically unavoidable where the header card inserts into the slots at the reverse of the card box. Colours are day-one vibrant, clean and crisp.
Remarkably, this model comes to QDT just after the sale of the Corgi 338 Camaro with detachable header-card.
With model-specific leaflet:
This is a highly recommended investment piece for your collection.
