Notes
This wonderful Corgi shopkeeper’s revolving display stand was found in the shop storeroom tucked away in its original large card crate. What a find! With day-one fresh colours in Corgi blue and yellow, this stand measures approx 84cms x 45cms. Composed of wood and perspex with metal fixings, this is such an attractive display piece form the mid 1960’s and will hold 64 cars.
Examining this stand closely, we can see that three of the white perspex compartments have minor wear and some of the metal fixings are tarnished now.
The stand revolves well and the overall impression is very fine indeed.
The large outer sturdy card crate has protected the stand well over the years and still has 9 packing pieces! ‘FRAGILE’ and ‘This Side Up’ labels. Bold informative black print on two sides.
A remarkable find.
