Re-numbered from 40J in 1954, this Austin Somerset Saloon Dinky model has a pleasing powder blue finish and a most curious find – this model has distinctive blue-green wheels!
Paint finish is very close to mint. Extra sweep of blue paint to the front bumper ( and we note that other examples have had this treatment, so we must assume factory).
For comparison only, please do take a look at this model when placed alongside another. This model is in the foreground:
and the wheels are noticeably different on this version, especially when placed alongside the ‘standard’ version:
