Winross Models 221-A Streamlined White Truck 'Firestone'
White Truck 'FIRESTONE' by Winross Models, No. 221-A. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce promotional model from The 25 Year Collection in California.
Notes
From a selection of rare Winross models from this collector. Made in New York back in the mid-1960’s, these are 1:64 scale models mostly of the truck manufacturer, ‘White’ and had promotional advertising at the sides. Winross were the trail blazers in the U.S. for model trucks made specially for company promotion.
This streamlined truck promotes ‘FIRESTONE TIRE SERVICE’ and presents very well indeed with complete decorative transfers on one side (tiny crazing in a couple of places) and just a small scratch to the transfer on the other side. Deep red and white finish with distinctive cab shape, deep red cast wheels and well-shaped black treaded tyres. Well-constructed, 1:64 scale.
Occasioanl tiny mark to the paint finish.
Distinctive white lift-off lid card box has no tears or repairs, showing very little wear.Little writing on the box base underside.
Not an easy find!
