Corgi Toys 200 Ford Consul
Ford Consul Saloon by Corgi Toys, No. 200. Very near mint/boxed. Early issue in cool brown. From The Reference Collection.
Notes
The first Corgi car ever made – and a must for your collection. Issued in various colour finishes between 1956-61.
This early Corgi car has a gleaming cool brown finish – not an easy colour to find. Flat spun wheels gleam. Tyres are as-new. Baseplate is shiny.
Looks completely unused.
Very close to mint (small casting mark on the roof side).
For comparison only, please take a look at this example on the left when set alongside another example in the grey-brown shade on the right:
The early blue picture box is complete and bright. Small part-puncture on the roof and the occasional light edge rub.
