Notes
A childhood gift circa 1963 that has been stored away until now, with contents barely handled, complete with all card packing.
A delightful Set from this well-respected (Northern Ireland) diecast manufacturer, with all models made precisely to 1:42 scale.
Gift/Presentation Sets are particularly sought-after and this one containing 4 rather delectable classic Sports Cars is certainly no exception!
This Presentation Pack comprises:
1) 104 MGA in red, mid-grey seats. Pleasing glossy paint finish. Windscreen is intact. Silver trim. Complete dashboard detail transfer. Very near mint condition. Tiny transference of black marking due to prolonged contact with the inner. Stray smudge of factory silver and a couple of marks to the paint finish. With original card packing wedge.
Shiny wheels and well-shaped original tyres.
2) 105 Austin-Healey in lemon with light grey seats. Intact windscreen. Complete number plates at the front. Complete dashboard transfer detail. Shiny wheels and well-shaped original tyres. Near mint plus.
3) 107 Jaguar XK SS in racing green with grey seats and tonneau.
Intact windscreen, complete number-plates at the front, incomplete at the rear. Complete dashboard transfer detail. A few minor marks. Very near mint. Shiny wheels and well-shaped original tyres. With card packing wedge.
4) 108 Triumph TR3 in turquoise, grey seating. Complete dashboard transfer detail. Incomplete number plates. Shiny wheels and well-shaped original tyres. Very near mint. With card packing wedge.
Each model still has the original wrapping tissue that came with the set when the eight year old boy in 1963 received it.
Inner card tray presents well with vibrant, clean card and a crisp feel.Very light wear. Looks fresh and has received minimal handling.
Box base in vivid red has a little storage wear on the underside including a small part-puncture.
The colourfully illustrated lid has no tears. Some storage rubbing at edges and note that one corner of the lid has had a little tape repair.
