Dinky 962 Muir-Hill Dumper Truck
Dinky 962 Muir-Hill Dumper Truck. Lemon yellow, red wheels, gloss base. Very near mint /boxed (striped 'Supertoys' Box). Dated 1962. From The Fenman Collection.
Notes
Issued during 1954-66, this particular example has a fresh, gleaming pale yellow paint finish and comes complete with the familiar driver in his pale brown workman’s garb. Gloss base.
Early issue with metal wheels:
A nicely-constructed toy; the driver can be made to swivel with his seat, and the dumper tips. Tow hook and red painted hubs. No sunfading. Bright baseplate. These dumper trucks are so often found with many chips. This model has fared better than most!
Subtle flick of extra paint on an exposed edge.
The striped Supertoys box is brightly-coloured and complete with no splits or tears. Minor age/handling wear. Tarnished staples. Shopkeeper’s period price label on one lid end.
