Corgi Gift Set 28 Carrimore Car Transporter & 4 Cars

This would have been a special treat indeed for some lucky little boy circa 1963!
An obviously never sold Gift Set and certainly barely handled. The individual boxes for the cars are intensely crisp and fresh, with resistance at end flaps showing minimal opening (perhaps 2 or 3 times over the past 54 years!).

It comprises:

1) 1105 Bedford TK Transporter is in near mint plus condition.
Both wing mirrors are present and complete with the little reflective ‘mirror’ pieces. Metal parts are bright. Corgi Dog transfer is complete at the rear. A little storage rubbing to the lettering on one side. A few (must be!) factory assembly marks to the paint finish besides.

2) Corgi 229 Chevrolet Corvair. Mid-blue finish, pale lemon interior. Shaped spun wheels. Very near mint in a shop-fresh box.

3) Corgi 239 Volkswagen 1500 Karmann Ghia is in very, very near mint condition. Crisp, clean and vivid box. Virtually shop-fresh (couple of light storage crumples).

4) Corgi 253 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE Coupé. Very near mint. With two pieces of luggage. Another super-crisp box (storage crumple).

5) Corgi 234 Ford Consul Classic. Very near mint. Crisp box. Small thumb tear at an internal end flap seam.

Complete with two original ‘Dummy’ boxes. Versions without end flaps. Exceptionally crisp. Tiny tear to one.

Card insert is clean and bright. With additional card packing piece too.

The attractive pictorial card box is complete and vividly-coloured. Light wear includes a very small part-seam tear to the lid and a small part-puncture at lid side.
