Matchbox Series Gift Set G-4 Farm Set

Notes

A difficult find, this is the first issue (1960) of this charming set and comprises:

a) M7 Cattle Truck in red and light tan with grey plastic treaded tyres. In excellent plus condition with some marking to the paint finish in places.

b) 12 Land Rover with black plastic wheels. Very near mint.

c) 23c Bluebird Dauphine Caravan in pale metallic mauve with silver plastic treaded tyres. Very, very near mint.

d) 31b American Ford Station Wagon in metallic green, cream roof, with silver plastic wheels. Near mint with a few little marks to the roof.

e) 35a Horse Box in red and tan with grey plastic wheels. Near mint plus (a little marking mostly at roof side edge).

f) 72a Fordson Tractor in blue with orange plastic rear wheels. Excellent plus with marking to rear wheel arches.

g) 50a Commer Pick Up in tan with grey plastic wheels. Near mint plus. Chip at front edge of roof.
Bright yellow carded inner is complete, clean and very bright. Note the yellow packing block in the centre – this is the second issue of this set and so contains 6 and not 5 models plus the cattle truck , as first issue. One small repaired tear.

Box base is clean, bright and complete. No tears. Crisp card. Very nice!

Box sleeve is bright and clean, looking fresh. Occasioanl tiny tear and light wear.
