Corgi Toys 1109 Bloodhound Guided Missile on Loading Trolley
Corgi 1109 Bloodhound Guided Missile on Loading Trolley. Scarce early issue. Very near mint, with inner packing tray, Leaflet & Booklet. From The Pennsylvanian Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1959-61. This is the early issue with red details at the rear of the missile and the small sections which extend beyond the white portion at the rear (usually silver) are yellow.
The Loading Trolley has a pleasing matt original military green finish.
Functioning mechanism for raising and lowering the missile. Barely a mark to the paint finish – looks completely unused. However, the nose cone is age-affected (common fault).
The Bristol Bloodhound Guided Missile has fared better than usual too with a well-shaped nose cone and just the occasional tiny mark to the paint finish. Complete roundels. This two-piece set presents well!
The colourful pictorial box is clean and card packing tray is still present.
Very light wear and a small area of surface loss at an end flap (price label removal we expect)..
Nice to see that the original Instruction Leaflet as well as the promotional Booklet present. Corgi Club Membership Form too.
