Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! This is an early Indian Dinky model – later these models would be marketed as Nicky Toys. Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This model, we surmise, was issued right at the end of the period where they were marketed as Indian Dinky toys and then subsequently as Nicky toys. Dinky no longer wanted their name on the product so Nicky toys were borne! Hence, the labels have been partly-removed. Also, bases at this time would soon have part of the lettering Dinky on the base obliterated.
This box is correct with ATAMCO PRIVATE LTD. Calcutta on one side.
This is a very close to mint Triumph Vitesse model finished in rich maize yellow with off-white interior, black steering wheel, and intact window glazing. With one-piece wheels/tyres.
Shiny black base with ‘DINKY TOYS’ lettering, Dinky product number 134 and details clearly visible. Indian Licensee details visible, too.
Occasioanl small mark to the paint finish.
An early picture box (with cream background) and
A carefully re-attached end flap and light wear.
