Spot-on Models N. 104 Morris Minivan (New Zealand issue)
Morris Mini Van by Spot-on Models, No. 104. Yellow with red interior, shaped spun wheels. With promotional 'MUTUAL' lettering on both sides. New Zealand issue. Rare. Near mint/unboxed. From The Hastings Collection. Starting bid £300. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
One of the rare New Zealand issues! Similar to the UK version numbered 404, although correct that this version has a bare base and no ‘Made in Northern Ireland’ either. Bright red interior and white steering wheel. Notably there is suspension on shaped spun wheels. Promotional ‘MUTUAL’ lettering on both sides (couple of little nicks). Unfamiliar with this version, we have researched the font and have discovered that it is Modern No. 20 font which has been available since 1905! So feasible that this is a period promotional item. Not a transfer or indeed a label – rather individually applied letters. No further information available at time of writing.
Small portion of the brightly-chromed front bumper is missing. Few little marks to the paint finish. Well-shaped treaded tyres (couple of little breaks).
