Corgi Toys 290 Kojak Buick
Kojak Buick by Corgi Toys, No. 290. Very near mint/boxed. In VIBRANT COPPER shade. With both figures of Kojak & Crocker. With badge. Rare final issue with 'corgi' in lower case. From The Wesley Lodge Collection. Starting bid £200. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
The rarest version in our estimation.
This Buick has a distinctive vibrant copper shade and comes with both original figures of Kojak and Crocker. Displays well, especially with the atmospheric skyscraper card backdrop. Also present is the detachable beacon. Badge.
In very near mint condition (one – probably factory – mark).
Note that this issue is dated 1976 on the outer box – so second issue – note that the first issue has Kojak’s Buick printed rather than simply Kojak Buick and has 1975 printed on the box. Note too that earlier issues had a polystyrene and card inner, whereas later issues had a card backdrop only. The last issue has corgi in lower print (see box images).
This large window box with header card is complete and intact, with smooth original cellophane window. Small handling tear to card.
