Notes
Issued between 1961-67, this Dinky commercial truck has a red cab, red plastic hubs and a grey back. These particular models are especially sensitive to light – very pleased to say that this example has a vivid red cab and chassis and a light grey back. The rear opening doors on these models are also prone to damage – this example has excellent and complete rear doors which open and close properly! Detailed Mclean transfers on both cab sides are perfect. Indeed, all McLean labels throughout are absolutely fine. An outstanding example:
There is some unavoidable wear to the paint finish where the trailer attaches to the base of the tractor unit. Noticeable when the pieces are detached but thankfully not when they are coupled!
The Supertoys box is very clean, complete and fresh with no splits. None of the expected edge rubbing etc. – indeed this is one of the nicest boxes for this model that we have seen in a long time!
Dinky stamp inside the box lid dates this particular example from 1961.
A rare find in this condition!
