Notes
A most desirable Corgi set – and the Batmobile with purple screens is not an easy find and neither is this box presentation.
The set comprises:
1) Batmobile in gleaming gloss black finish with both original figures of Batman and Robin. Scarce with purple screens. Fixed tow hook version. 12-spoke Whizzwheels.
Gleaming chrome, bright gold parts. Correct that this version has less pointed rear fins and very bright gold parts. Suspension is fine on all four well-shaped original tyres. Very close to mint.
2) Batboat sits atop the gold trailer with racing Whizzwheels. More desirable ‘tin fin’ version (later issues were plastic). Virtually mint.
Both items sit in a clean and fresh-looking polystyrene inner.
The rare 1973 issue box is correct without header card.
Base view:
Colourful and complete with original unpunctured cellophane. Barely any wear.
With unopened Secret Instruction Packet.
Exceptional.
