Notes
This large scale early plastic model from JR21 model manufacturers is instantly recognisable to Gerry Anderson and Thunderbirds enthusiasts.
In close to mint condition in green plastic with a complete yellow strip, extendable white plastic and metal legs, red plastic and chrome thrusters and very nearly complete-complete ‘Thunderbird 2’ lettering. Friction drive with both rubber wheels (well-shaped).
Of course the central section slides out and may be opened to reveal the vehicle enclosed within – in this instance the red plastic jeep with black wheels.
Complete with both detachable wings and card packing:
Model measures approx. 26cms in length.
Note that it lacks the little jockey wheel on the underside.
The colourfully illustrated card box is a delight! Complete and vividly-coloured. Gery Anderson’s Thunderbirds logo and date 1965 on both non-picture sides. ‘Empire made’ printed. Handling tear and light wear.
A scarce and desirable Thunderbirds model!
