2 x Hornby Meccano Advertising Stands

All-original and as-found shop display pieces from this collector who searches far and wide for fresh-to market pieces. Just occasionally, the trail will lead him to an old shop store find, with items long stored away and forgotten about!
Just a light clean revealed the vivid colours on these eye-catching period promotional stands.

1) The larger stand features a steam train with a bridge above and 2 train enthusiast children looking down excitedly. Surely they are Dinky collectors too!
The stand has day-one vivid colours on sturdy card, may be free-standing or indeed a display piece above a toy cabinet – there are a couple of little drawing pin holes top right.
Measures approx. 22.5 cms x 29cms. Tiny wear.

2) An unforgettable and dramatic stand with vivid colours on crisp sturdy card. Light wear to the bottom edge. Measures approx. 29.5 × 25cms
