An attractive example of this classic Dinky model, precisely dated 1957 from the Dinky stamp inside the box lid. In all original condition, this is the early issue example without window glazing. Grooved Supertoy cast wheels. Finished in lustrous red which has lost none of its vibrancy. Complete with both silver ladders and two bells, shiny silver trim and bright metal parts throughout. Correct copper attachment which holds the two ladder sections in place.
A few minor marks to the paint finish may be seen at some exposed points. One of the ladder sections has lost some of its silver finish.
The striped ‘Supertoy’ box is clean and complete, with no splits or graffiti. One edge crumple to the lid and very minor handling wear besides. The box base has retained its deep blue colour and has scarcely any shelf rubbing on the underside.
