With impeccable history and provenance, this is a little piece of Corgi history that is a delight to own.
This is an unused early 1970’s unused point of sale Corgi Display Stand in brightest yellow with the familiar Corgi Dog logo and ‘CORGI JUNIORS’ upright print. Promoting ‘Whizzwheels’.
40 small rectangular sections filled with a a range of Corgi Junior models, some with labels below the compartment. Outer clear plastic cover still firmly attached.
Looking day-one bright and fresh with no tears or damage whatsoever. It is obvious that this display item lay forgotten for decades.
The stand measures approx. 55.5cms x 56cms.
Reverse:
Couple of minor marks to the metal bar which enables the display case to become free-standing.
Nice to see that the outer box is present and includes the plain brown over-wrap which bears the Mettoy Address Label on one side and the Corgi Representative’s address in Wimbourne.
Light storage wear to the box. Still present is the pa=lain corrugated card which protects the stand in the box, too.

The Display Stand may either be affixed to a wall or used on a counter top.
A remarkable find and a must-have piece for Corgi Junior collectors.
