Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This early Indian Dinky Toy, the Plymouth Fury Convertible, is finished in sky blue shade, mauve interior, black hood and both seated figures. One-piece plastic wheel and tyre construction. Tinplate base. Opening bonnet with engine detail. Silver trim.
A few little marks to the paint finish. Three of four jewelled headlights fitted.
Colourful card INDIAN DINKY TOYS box lacks two internal end flaps. Wear & tear besides. This picture box (with cream background) is correct with ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta on the underside.
