Corgi Toys 267 Batmobile
Batmobile by Corgi Toys, No. 267. Slim 12-spoke Whizzwheels issue, PALE blue screens, in 1979 dated window box with circular Batman Logo detail. With Swedish print on top surface. With full complement of missiles. Very near mint/boxed. From The Bluehouse Collection of fine Corgi.
Notes
Always an exciting and sought-after model, this particular version of the Batmobile is finished in an attractive high-gloss black paint with bright ‘Bat’ logos on both sides, bright gold slasher blade, ‘rounded’ rear fins, cast gold tow hook, slim 12-spoke Whizzwheels, blemish-free pale blue-tinted screens. Both figures of Batman and Robin, and a fixed flame. Fine straight aerial, unrubbed chrome, bright gold details – a fantastic, iconic display piece.
Complete sprue of fluorescent red missiles (all present, but some off the sprue).
Barely a mark to the paint finish – note there is no suspension on one wheel. However, the model still sits well.
Colourful card and cellophane box is complete, clean and brightly-coloured. Correct that this issue has a circular Batman detail bottom right. Intact original cellophane is a little crumpled. Note the Swedish print on the top surface and the date 1979 on the base. French print too and features diagram.
