Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This example has just the occasional minor mark to the paint finish. Minor wear to the label on the wing.
On the underside, one can clearly see where the word Dinky has been altered to read ‘Nicky’! Stamped ‘Made In India’ on the underside too.
The card box is complete and bright – a better than expected example ( Nicky boxes offer suffer extensive wear). Model has caused a couple of small punctures. Box underside gives a listing of other Nicky Toys in the range.
A fascinating piece of Dinky history and well worth incorporating into your collection.
