Notes
A sought-after Gift Set issued between 1953-54.
It comprises:
1) 23G Cooper-Bristol in green, racing number 6. Very near mint.
2) 23F Alfa Romeo in red, racing number 8. Very near mint
3) 23h Ferrari in blue, racing number 5. Very near mint but a little retouching around the nose rim.
4) 23J HWM in light green with racing number 7. Very near mint.
5) 23N Maserati. Very near mint.
Each racing car is set on the original slotted card insert which is clean and tear-free. Box base is complete and presents well. Printed lettering is crisp and bright.
The colourful striped box lid also bears the later numbering 249, is complete and vibrantly-coloured.
No graffiti. Stored well and handled rarely. Remains of the tape which kept the lid closed was removed at some time. Glue repair at some time to a lid corner.
