Dinky Toys 919 Guy Van "Golden Shred"
Guy Van "Golden Shred" by Dinky Toys, No. 919. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce and sought-after model from The Ground Crew Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1957-58, this model is in very close to mint condition with a deep, lustrous red finish and complete detailed transfers on both sides. Bright baseplate too. This iconic Dinky van lis happily free of the sunfading or delicate transfer rubbing often associated with these models.
Hard to find a mark to the paint finish. Under closest scrutiny with magnification and strong light a few tiny retouches may be found.
Note two of the original smooth tyres have a flat spot. Original replacement tyre is stored on the base.
Beautiful sheen makes this an exquisite display piece.
The box is bright, clean and complete has a little wear commensurate with age . Staples are tarnished. No graffiti.
