Dinky Toys 170 Ford Fordor Sedan
Ford Fordor Sedan by Dinky Toys, No 170. All red issue with red wheels. Very near mint/boxed (early version with '170' in black oval, and not dual-numbered). Another First for QDT! From The Heart of England Collection. Starting bid £200. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
This version has such a vibrant all red finish with red ridged wheels. Pleasing lustre – and not an easy find.
Shiny base with large print and with ‘FORD SEDAN’ cast to the underside of the roof.
Barely a mark to the all-original paint finish and a stray smudge of black ink (or similar) at a rear wing. Another faintest trace on the bonnet. Couple of very light tyre flat spots.
The scarce early box has the product number ‘170’ in a black oval (later this would be in a red oval). Note too that this is not a dual-numbered box, so 139A is not printed. Correct colour spot. Light wear.
