Notes
A most appealing cache of Dinky 39D Buick Viceroys Saloon models all safely ensconced within the sturdy Dinky Trade Box with original card dividers. The group comprises:
1) 3 x maroon versions with black treaded tyres and smooth well-shaped tyres. Condition range near mint (1) – very near mint (2). Note one has a scuff on the roof. Another has a couple of later flicks of well-matched maroon paint. 1947-50.
2) 2 x green export versions with matching ridged wheels and well-shaped smooth black tyres. 1950.
One has a couple of raised casting marks on the roof and a rub or two. The other has some slightly discoloured patches which can occur with the passage of time.
3) 1 x beige version with black ridged wheels and well-shaped smooth black tyres.
Buff Trade Box has intact original card dividers notably:
Trade box has light age/storage wear and minor loss to the yellow Dinky label at a short lid end. Period shopkeeper’s price in pencil has been scribbled over in pen on the lid.
