A remarkable and precious find. Issued 1937-41. This Corporation Type Motor Ambulance is finished in cream with silver trim, opening doors including at the rear. Black detail at the sides (and rear) with clear AMBULANCE lettering. Smooth black wheels and well-shaped cream original tyres with fine tread and ‘BRITAINS LTD ENGLAND’ embossed.
With driver.
Several marks to the paint finish as one might expect over the passage of time. Minor bowing to lower rear step section beneath opening rear doors.
With patient and stretcher.
The deep red lift-off lidded card box has a virtually complete pink paper label. Some discreet glue repairs to seams in places and note there has been some well-matched ink applied in places to reduce the appearance of rubbing to the card. Part-puncture (small) to one short end of the base.
