Notes
We are very pleased to offer this superb Dinky model – so hard to find in very nice condition. This example just glows!
Issued for a short period between 1953-54 under this numbering, this example has a beautiful, virtually unmarked, original paint finish. Quite simply one of the nicest we have seen:
The circular detailed “Blue Circle Portland Cement” transfers are complete on both cab doors, there are a couple of negligible pin prick marks to the other transfers on the flat bed sides. (Being extra-fussy here!)
None of the usual chipping to the yellow paint finish. Transfer at the rear is virtually perfect. Bright baseplate and spare wheel in place. Well-shaped original grey tyres.
Complete of tiny touch-ins visible only to the gimlet-eyed.
The blue box with a picture label is complete, strongly-coloured and fresh. Obviously, this truck has been well looked-after. No sunfading or grubbiness, with day-one bright vivid colours.
Neat period writing on a short lid end ‘February 1953’
With card packing piece.
